Hawaiian Airlines Pet Policy

Hawaiian Airlines Pet Policy | +1 (917) 730-3671

Hawaiian Airlines Pet Policy, the tenth-largest commercial airline in the US and something of a niche player in terms of market share, was founded in 1929. Its primary goal is to connect Hawaii with the rest of the globe, particularly Asia, American Samoa, Australia, French Polynesia, Hawaii, New Zealand, and the US mainland, despite the fact that it is one of North America’s most well-known airlines. One of the airlines that has been running to different domestic and international places the longest is Hawaiian Airlines, which is situated in Honolulu. For all sorts of locations, the airline gives its customers detailed guidance on how to carry their pets with them. These limitations are part of the Hawaiian Airlines pet policy.

In The Passenger Cabin

Due to state quarantine regulations, Hawaiian Airlines has a rigorous pet policy. On flights leaving Hawaii and inter-island flights, dogs and cats in pet carriers are permitted to travel in the cabin for a price, but they are not permitted on international flights.

Birds and other animals can fly as checked luggage in the area under the plane. Emotional support or service animals, which are approved for in-cabin travel and are classified as assistance animals, are exempt from these limitations.

According to Hawaiian Airlines’ pet policy, if a flight attendant notices actions that could endanger other passengers’ safety or cause a major disruption, they have the discretion to refuse boarding or remove a service or support animal.

Pet as Baggage Check-In

– The total weight of the pet and kennel cannot be greater than 70 lbs. Our Cargo department may transport your animal if the total weight is over 70 lbs.

Animals as Emotional Support

Individuals who need emotional support or mental assistance can get it from emotional support animals. They are not skilled to carry out a certain duty. Even if they are allowed to fly in the cabin for free, emotional support animals must be well-behaved throughout the journey. For pet relief, several airports feature grassy areas. You do not need to bring a pet carrier if you are travelling with an emotional support animal in the aeroplane cabin, but if you do, it will be counted as a personal item or one of your carry-on baggage.

Service Animals

Service animals are allowed to fly for free and are trained to help passengers with disabilities. If the flight is eight hours or longer, Hawaiian Airlines requires 48 hours’ notice. You must check in one hour prior to the start of general check-in. A person can purchase a seat for their extra-large support or service animal and receive double the free carry-on and checked bag allowance (one for each seat). Only service animals that have a current health certificate and satisfy certain conditions are allowed to enter Hawaii without being subject to an animal quarantine.
